How to cut youtube videos once you've downloaded them?

Question

I want to make a youtube vid using parts of a movie (like an AMV tribut thing) from the movie which has been already put up. Now, i've already downloaded these clips using keepvid.com but of course I only want parts of the movie and windows movie maker won't let me cut them. I've looked on google and seen things like splicd and tube chop where you have to put the URL in and specify from where you'd like that clip which works fine but it doesn't actually let you download that little clip just send it to your friends. Is there any site that can, or any programme or something ?

This is a GREAT FREE and OPEN SOURCE program for downloading youtube videos. Set download and conversion methods to highest quality to obtain the best results. On top of the better quality you can choose which format to save it in, AVI - MPG - MPEG - FLV ect. It does take longer to download than keepvid because it has to convert as well, but I can promise you xVideoThief is worth it.
