Why are YouTube videos loading so slow?

From time to time, YouTube videos are loading very slow for me. When I watch a video it stops after 3 seconds. It then takes a long time for the video to load. This doesn't happen on any other video site like Dailymotion or Vimeo. And webpages like CNN and other websites load fine. Why is this? It's SO frustrating!!!!

Please don't tell me to clear my cache, cookies, or history because I've done that and the problem persists. I've also tried this on Safari and Firefox and it still happens. Also, please don't tell me a lot of people use YouTube and that's why it's slow because this only happens from time to time.

Some info
- I'm using Google Chrome
- I'm using Mac OS 10,7,5
- My internet provider is Verizon and I'm using DSL. (I can't get Fios)

Could it be Verizon trying to throttle my download speed? Please help me fix this.

It's Google's fault. Seriously. Many ISPs are experiencing this same issue, not just Verizon DSL. Even Verizon FiOS is.

The computer's velocity/processor does not examine how well the web runs. Many things are factored in. Like, do you employ 56k dial-up or broadband? And if your utilizing broadband, how robust within the signal? Plenty of matters can weaken the signal, and reason the web to move slow. It has nothing to do with a rapid pc.E

My computer is always slow because of the internet connection you should check it and see how strong the signal is
