Youtube videos doesn't play in my computer anymore!! Any solutions??

Question

Its been a week since youtube videos have stopped playing in my computer. It was working fine before that. When I click on a video, the page opens and I get a display on the video-screen saying,"This video is no longer available". I've tried around 500 videos and its the same response.

I've tried Firefox, Opera and IE.
I have flash player 9 too.
I have a youtube account too and none of the videos play whether I'm logged in or not!!

OK, here are a few different ways you could fix this.

Download Firefox 3.

Download and reinstall the Firefox Flash Player add-on.

Make sure you try it on your home internet connection.

Well, I think many internet users around the world are facing this problem b'coz of recent development in YouTube site. There can possibly be the following two reasons for your problem:



1) The video you're trying to view has already been removed due to various reasons, including violation of copyrights or inappropriate content.[which doesn't seem to be the issue in your case]



2)You may try this out[its an effect caused in combination of your internet connection plus some tricky softwares]:

- Disable any Ad-blocking software, if any, which might be causing the conflict with the flash detection tool of YouTube.

- You might also try disabling some software like 'Google Web accelerator' which might be causing this issue.



If you find that the above things ain't causing any trouble, then you may like to do this:

- Whenever you click on a YouTube video link, and jump to that page, if you get the same 'We're sorry, this video is no longer available' message, then just append '&fmt=18' at the end of the url of the video in the address bar of your web browser.

e.g. The original YouTube video link can be:

'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPz5e9TvYIs'

which after appending the short code will be like following:

'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPz5e9TvYIs&fmt=18'



[Note: with this the video may take little more time to load: but be sure, it will. It plays in high quality]

probably network traffic is high, or something..



these will help you...



1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash (the correct way).



get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...



OR..



2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.

Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.



Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .



It works well - Just yahoo or google search "zillatube" to get it.

i got the same thing if you are using firefox and are using the google web accelerator (the little speed gauge at the bottom right of your computer) right click it and disable it and the vids will work. and in IE delete your cookies.

Try reinstalling the flash player will most likely be the player if you cant view it on any other browser. i had the same problem a few months back but with me it was java screwing with my messenger.

i think you are using net at your office to play these videos may be they have recently blocked the ability to veiw the videos for their clients. just check up with your IT administrator.



if it is your provate computer and a personal internet connection try reinstalling the IE software
