YOU DON'T NEED ANY DOWNLOADER OR CONVERTER. SOME ANSWERERS TO
YOUR QUESTION ARE REALLY DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE TRYING TO "SUCKER"
YOU INTO BUYING THEIR COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY AND BOGUS PROGRAM
(which is insulting, since their software has got absolutely nothing to do with uploading).
If you're getting the message "THE UPLOAD FAILED DUE TO AN UNKNOWN ERROR"
it means that a "time-out" or a "run-time" error has taken place.
Problems like that are usually due to either your ISP, YouTube,
or a network "hub-&-spoke" between the two that is attempting
to send your uplink to YouTube's servers. If that is the problem,
it's usually just temporary, and fixes itself quickly.
Another cause could be a weak or ''spiked'' internet connection.
One thing you could do is press your "F5" key (or the "Refresh"
icon) and then try your upload again. Bear in mind though, that
your connection to YouTube needs to be smooth and constant
throughout the entire upload process (meaning no interruptions
or hiccups), otherwise everything will screw-up again and you'll
have to redo it all over. Thus, if you have a wireless connection,
make sure that it is seamless, strong, and without fluctuations.
You may want to try by-passing your router, and instead using
a cable from your computer connected directly to your modem.
There is also the possibility that you're unknowingly sending to
YouTube a bad, false or corrupted "cookie" or that maybe your
''cache" is full. [Although you're just uploading a video, it is still
using up your computer's RAM.] Thus....1) exit out of YouTube,
2) exit out of your internet browser, 3) reopen that web browser
anew, 4) do one of the sequences below, 5) shutdown + reboot.

Another possible cause of that dreaded "unknown error" is that
you may be doing other things on your computer while you are
uploading. Quit other running applications, or perhaps consider
uploading your video without the "progress bar" -- because that
involves extra back-&-forth interaction between you & YouTube.
Also, for the brief moment while you are uploading a video, you
can temporarily disable your antivirus and/or firewall -- because
you cannot get a virus from simply uploading a video.
