I have Windows Movie Maker on my Vista Windows, but I don't know how that works, so if it's still possible after reading the details below, tell me how to overlap videos, please. beginner here.

I'm thinking a video along the lines of making many video clips on a camera, uploading them onto the computer, and use something FREE to put it all into one big video, that doesn't pause in between each video that noticably.
overlapping you can call it.
into a youtube friendly video.
and also, in a youtube video when uploading, what should be the file type?

i don't know how many videos are the limit for the windows movie maker, though. but if it's as short as 10, i'd like something free that can put together more videos than that.

thanks in advance.

try this video joiner, join your video clips into big one

http://www.flash-video-soft.com/join-video/

it is a powerful tool to join or merge multiple AVI, Divx, XviD, MPEG, WMV, ASF, RM, MOV, 3GP, MP4 files into one large file in various format.

Well you should be able to edit and process your videos with windows movie maker with no problems. The Windows Media Audio/Video file (.wmv) file format will be fine which is the format windows movie maker uses. If you want to upload to youtube your video is limited to 10 minutes and 1024 MB. So if its going to be longer than that you will have to make 10 minute videos and upload one at a time like in segments Part 1, Part 2 and so on.

You can learn it from...

http://www.mightycoach.com/articles/mm2/index.html

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

It is easy to do it through a software names Video Converter, It can put your files all into one. By the way, if you used this software, you should check the "Merge into one file". Have a try, it is useful for you.
