Is it possible to use a video on YouTube and link it directly onto a powerpoint slide so that it is displayed and can be played back on a powerpoint? If it is, please help by giving me instructions on how to do this, thank you!

Just follow these steps, and you'll be able to show all your good videos on powerpoint presentation. Just 3 simple steps, and you can present your powerpoint with videos without online at all:
1- download the youtube video with "zillatube". Get the program from http://www.zillatube.com. This program helps to download and convert those videos the fastest way possible for your powerpoint. Other methods are slow.
2- using zillatube, convert it into mpg video format.
3- final step, a simple step, just insert movie file(using the file menu above the powerpoint program) the mpg video into power point.
(Note: make sure the mpg video is placed in the same folder with your powerpoint file, then you can bring the folder to any computer and view it)
all the best to your presentation.

Yep .. I just learned how lol! took me way too long considering I need it for most of my classes.
Copy the page's url that you need...
then right click on your power point page, you will see an option that sayy hyperlink - it has the little chain thing nex to it.
when that opens up, you will see your files displayed and what not ..
there are three little images on top right corner .. click the one that looks like a globe with a microscope, it say's browse the internet when you scroll over it.
click that, then paste the url into the internet bar.. or just go on youtube and go to the page you need.
then it appears in the box on the hyperlink box.
click okay, and it will paste it into your slide

you may insert links on your Powerpoint that would launch the Youtube video clips of their very own browser, yet you may desire to do your presentation with cyber web get right of entry to so as that Powerpoint could desire to launch your browser for the video clips. some youtube video clips may be downloaded, yet maximum persons of them at the instant are not, in my journey.

Just Use E.M. Youtube video download tool.
It works great and easy to use.
It can download video from youtube , myspace, veoh, yahoo or any other video websites autoamtically.
then convert the video to avi or wmv format that can be imported to powerpoint.
