Windows Movie Maker. It comes with newer (since Windows ME) versions of Windows, and it's pretty easy to use. To open it, find it in your Programs list or type "MOVIEMK" in the Run box.
Now, just Import your music, videos, and pictures, then click and drag. Then press Ctrl+P when you're finished to publish- You can NOT just "Save project"!
To make a video 720p widescreen HD using Windows Movie Maker, follow these steps.
First, go to Tools ⺠Options in Windows Movie Maker. Click the "Advanced" tab at the top.
Now find "16:9" under the "Video Properties" section. Click on it. Now your view will be in 16:9 widescreen. But that's not all!
Finish your movie. When it is time to publish, click "Publish to... This computer". Name your movie and set the destination. Click "Next".
Now click "More Settings" and in the drop-down list next to it, click "Windows Media HD 720p". Click on this. Now click Publish.
You just made a 720p HD video! Congratulations. Youtube supports 720p video. This is an example of a 720p HD Youtube video:

However, I'd be careful what music you use. You see, the record companies have recently been on Youtube's *** to have them remove copyrighted music from videos. It's not just happening to you. And no, saying "I don't own this song!" does NOT work.
If WMG or UMG (the ones who are doing all this) catches you using THEIR music, they will have the audio muted. That's right, your video will have NO audio. If this happens, there are a few things you can do...
• Remove the video
• Remove the video and reupload it and probably get BANNED by Youtube
• Just live with the muted audio
• Dispute the infringement like a crybaby
• Pay the record company thousands of dollars for distribution rights and STILL get your *** handed to you
• Use a song that is NOT owned by WMG (Warner Music Group) or UMG (Universal Music Group). From what I hear, Sony Music Group and EMI are much more lenient with copyright. Here are lists of SMG and EMI artists:

• Use Audioswap. Audioswap is a LEGAL way to use music from an enormous library! Your video will NEVER be removed for Audioswap music!
To use Audioswap, log in to Youtube, go to your video's Youtube page, and click "Edit Video". Now click "Audioswap".
NOTE: Audioswap will PERMANENTLY replace ALL the audio in your music. There is NO going back to what it was before. HOWEVER, you can use Audioswap to change the audio of your music unlimited times.
Also, Audioswap does NOT have ALL songs. If you made a music video for the song, there wouldn't be much of a reason to replace the audio with ANOTHER song, would there? But if you just had the song as audio to an unrelated video, you CAN use a different song.
If you understand all that, then select a song to replace the audio of your video and click Publish. It will take a few minutes, and then your video's audio will be replaced with 100% totally legal music!
_____
If you have seen other people using the audio you have gotten in trouble for using, that means one of several things...
• They own the music
• They have EXPRESS PERMISSION to use it (very hard to get)
• They are using Audioswap
• (Most likely answer) They have not yet been caught by Youtube or the company owning the music.
Why was your audio muted and not theirs? It's for the same reason that one criminal is caught but the other gets away- the authorities can't catch ALL the criminals.
