how do you change the video thumbnail to a pic of something you have instead of the three screenshot choices it gives you to chose as a thumbnail. i want to make my videos look more interesting by putting a funny pic as the thumbnail. please give a clear explanation or/and a tutorial video and your 10 points awaits you!

you cant unless your a partner

but if you put the picture into the very middle for 5 seconds, i think it will appear as the thumbnail

Like Abbey said, you have to be a YouTube Partner. YouTube Partners are people how make money form their videos. Go to the link I have put in the sources section to learn more about Partners.

you need to be a partner channel which means a certain number of subscribers like 1,000 or something. sorry youtube's unfair.
