Lets say I start a Youtube channel and frequently upload (weekly? maybe 2 times a week). At what point do I start earning money from Youtube? I know that it is against contracted terms for any youtuber to discuss how much the earn etc but im sure its ok to know when/how you start to earn money? Like how many subs do you need and does youtube come to you or do you apply etc. thanks

ANYBODY can earn money on their videos however it's based on how many views you get on the adverts. You may earn 1-2p and month at the moment however that may increase slightly as you gain a larger viewership.

DO NOT DO YOUTUBE IF YOU ARE DOING IT FOR MONEY since you'll become unmotivated when you realize you aren't earning anything.

If you are making family friendly videos with 2 million views a month to your videos you may be earning $5000 a month. But that's 2 MILLION every MONTH!

Activate Monatization: www.youtube.com/account_monetization

then link your account to adsense.

Anyone can earn money from YouTube if they are 18+ and enable Google Adsense, however keep in mind that payment for the average user is not even going to replace a part time minimum wage job...

You can estimate what it's possible to make with a great site called Social Blade however really when it comes down to it,, if you're in it for money, you're on a burning bridge to nowhere.

YouTube is about fun, community building, and the enjoyment of production, not money.

depends on views if you have adsense enabled. roughly 1000 views per video is 15-25cents.

Youtube comes to you. Once you get one subscriber the money starts rolling in. I myself have 8 subscriber and I earn $0.0013 per view.

I think when you have over 100,000 subscribers.
