My Youtube videos will not show up in the search?

Video not in search Depending on site traffic, changes to video information can take 8 hours or more to show up in the search index after they've been uploaded, changed, or removed. This includes changes to tags, ratings, views, and comments. Please be patient -- the video will show in the search index shortly. To bypass this time, you may want to send your friends the link of the video via email or private message. To find videos that were recently uploaded, you may want to sort by "Date Added". To do this, search for the terms that describe the video. From the search results page, click the "Date Added" link on the top of the screen. This will allow you to see the most recently uploaded videos first. Note that unless the username of the uploader is specified as a tag it may not be indexed for a video search. To find a user (and their videos), perform a search for their username and then select "Channels" on the left side of the page.

Just be patient.

Millions of videos are posted on YouTube EACH DAY, and it takes some time for them to get EVERY video in the search. If it still does not appear after 48 hours, then repost another question on Yahoo! Answers, informing people of the absurd time it is taking to get your video in the search.

you just need to wait. if you just made an account it could just take a bit for it to recognize you as a user. just give it a couple of days then try again it should work fine.

I SEE THAT ONE OF THE PEOPLE ABOVE ME WHO IS NOTORIOUS FOR

"STEALING" MY PREVIOUS "BEST ANSWERS" TO HIS OWN QUESTIONS

AND THEN USING THEM "IN HIS OWN NAME" (PRETENDING THAT THEY

ARE HIS) IS BACK ON YAHOO.

NOT ONLY DID HE "COPY-AND-PASTE" MY "BEST ANSWERS" EXACTLY

WORD FOR WORD, HE EVEN COPIED MY GRAMMAR, STYLE, SYNTAX,

PUNCTUATIONS MARKS, QUOTATIONS, PARAGRAPHS, REFERENCES,

HYPERLINKS, SPACINGS AND LINE-BREAKS -- EVERY SINGLE DETAIL

AND IOTA -- PRETENDING THAT THEY WERE HIS. BUT HE GOT CAUGHT.

ALTHOUGH HE'S NOW DISGUISING HIS COPIED ANSWERS, HE IS STILL

"STEALING" THE JIST OF MY FAMOUS "BEST ANSWERS", PRETENDING

THAT THEY ARE HIS OWN. SO PLEASE BEWARE, EVERYBODY: DON'T

BE FOOLED BY HIS VAPID CLAIMS OF EXPERIENCE AND TRUST.

People around the world are uploading videos

to YouTube virtually every second of every day.

Because they are all uploading different types

of videos ("avi", "mov", "mpg", "wmv", etc.) in

different lengths using different compressions,

it can sometimes take YouTube's computers

up to an incredible 2 days to process, convert

and index every individual uploaded video into

their universal format -- thus ensuring that any

computer around the world could then access

and play any YouTube video.

That's the reason for any of these possibilities:

-- you don't see your video under "My Videos";

-- you see only the grey-&-white camera icon;

-- you see your video thumbnail and all its info

but when you play it, "this video is unavailable";

-- your video doesn't show up in search results

even if you type your username and video title.

How long has it actually been since YouTube

completely "received" your video?

Once your video is finally in the public domain,

there is always the possibility that YouTube's

computer algorithms have yet figure out which

20 other videos will be placed in the "Related

Videos" section. Don't be surprised if that part

doesn't show anything right away and comes

up blank.
