YOU DON'T NEED ANY DOWNLOADER OR CONVERTER. SOME ANSWERERS

ON YAHOO ARE ACTUALLY DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE TRYING TO "SUCKER"

YOU INTO BUYING THEIR BOGUS AND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY PROGRAMS.

If you’re using Windows Movie Maker, there

is the possibility that you mistakenly saved

your vid as a "MSWMM" with "Save Project".

You should really save your video as a "AVI"

or "WMV" using "Save Movie File" (Win XP)

or "Publish Movie" (Vista).

There is a ton of difference between the first

example and the other 2. MSWMM is not a

true video, but really a "work-in-progress". If

you'd like to upload a video to YouTube that

won't give you the dreaded "Failed" or "error"

message, simply do one of the 2 alternative

methods above, or consider the following as

the ideal way to save and upload your video:

1 -- click the blue "Tasks" icon.....(you'll get the "Movie Tasks" menu)

2 -- click "Finish Movie", the 3rd option.....(it will expand to 5 choices)

3 -- click "Save to my Computer"....(the "Save Movie" wizard appears)

4 -- enter the name of your movie....(it is best to save in "My Videos")

5 -- click "Next" at the bottom.....(you'll see the "Movie Setting" page)

6a -- for regular video, click "Best quality for playback".....(the default)

6b -- for 16:9, click "Show more choices", then tweak it until 640x360

7 -- click "Next" at the bottom.....(the saving might take quite a while)

8 -- click "Finish" at the bottom.....(your video is saved the good way)

YouTube recommends your video format be

MPEG-4 at 480x360 recorded together with

sound in MP3 audio, all at a rate more than

24 frames per second. For 16:9 widescreen,

the dimensions of YouTube's "Flash" player

are exactly 640x360. Other file formats that

are readily accepted by YouTube are: MOV,

MPG, AVI, and WMV -- which is the format

for Windows Movie Maker.

When the file cannot be converted or too small size, it means the file is in the wrong format...

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

also some movie maker version requires to be published instead of save... for that, press "ctrl-p" to publish or search&select a publish option from the menu at the top of the program window.

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

YouTube accepts a wide range of video file formats. This list is all the video files YouTube will accept. Some video formats work best and are most compatible with certain computers, software or devices.

* Windows Media Video(.avi)

* .3GP (cell phones)

* .AVI (windows)

* .MOV (mac)

* .MP4 (ipod/psp)

* .MPEG

* .FLV (adobe flash)

* .SWF (shockwave flash)

* .MKV (h.264)

If you do not think your current video file format is recognized by YouTube, you may get the best results from converting your file to MPEG4 video with MP3 audio. If your format is recognized, but you are experiencing other issues with format errors, feel free to contact us, and we will try our best to fix it.

To convert most any video format to one of the aforementioned accepted formats it is reccommended you use FFMPEG. FFMPEG is a command-line tool, so newer users may like to use the free tool, SUPER, which can be found at http://www.erightsoft.org/. If you do not produce acceptable results with these tools, you may also try the commercial software, Magic Video Converter [ http://www.magic-video-software.com/magic_video_converter/index.html ].

Windows Movie Maker, by default saves projects as .MSWMM files. These file are project files, which means it only tells Windows Movie Maker the layout of your video and does not contain the final video itself, and because of this, YouTube does not accept .MSWMM files. To upload your Windows Movie Maker video to YouTube, select the "Save to My Computer" option to save the file and upload the generated file.

Keep in mind that each time you convert or "transcode" a video from one type of compression to another, there will be some loss in quality, sort of like making a photo copy of a photo copy. Avoid transcoding a highly compressed video into a format that is accepted. You'll get poor results. You'll get better results by going back to your original video editing software where you edited the video, and re-export in a format like MPEG4 with MP3 audio, or if that is unavailable, exporting it as a RAW (uncompressed) video format then encoding it in an external program such as those listed above.

There are two ways to upload your video: by using our Single File Uploader or the YouTube Uploader (for multiple files). With either of these methods, your videos can be up to 1GB in size and 10 minutes long.

Please note, the longer and/or higher quality your video is, the more compression will be required to fit it into 1GB. You can compress your video using movie editors, like Windows MovieMaker or Apple iMovie.

Here's a summary of the audio and video specifications you need for the best results on YouTube. For further details, please read the information listed directly below this summary.

Video

Resolution Recommended: 1280 x 720 (16x9 HD) and 640 x 480 (4:3 SD)

There is no required minimum resolution - in general the higher resolution the better and HD resolution is preferred. For older content, lower resolution is unavoidable.

Bit rate Because bit-rate is highly dependent on codec there is no recommended or minimum value. Videos should be optimized for resolution, aspect ratio and frame rate rather than bit rate.

Frame rate The frame rate of the original video should be maintained without re-sampling. In particular pulldown and other frame rate re-sampling techniques are strongly discouraged.

Codec H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred.

Audio

Codec MP3 or AAC preferred

Sampling rate 44.1kHz

Channels 2 (stereo)

YouTube recently began offering users an option to view content in high definition- 720p resolution (when the source upload supports it). Please note, we are currently experimenting with this feature and optimizing it accordingly, so we can't guarantee that your videos will always be transcoded into this format with this user option present.

For an example of a video being streamed in 720p resolution, please click this link and then click on the text toggle "watch in HD" located beneath the right hand corner of the player.

loved the music. The coordination of the beat music and stickmen changed into tremendous! notwithstanding, the purely %. fall changed into the "firearms" on your presentation~advertising violence. remove the "firearms" and the video nonetheless be tremendous :-)
