You can not upload videos that you have created in Movie Maker and then upload them onto Youtube. The file type that is used in Movie Maker isn't the same on Youtube.

You might want to try and make the video some other way. Maybe use a Webcam? I have never uploaded to Youtube before so I cant help you sorry.

u cant upload it straight form Movie Maker.

The file wouldnt match and u need to convert it.

Will in movie maker there should be publish, click on that.

Publish the video, but slect 'WMV' that is a conpaitable format for youtube.

or Quicktime Player if u ave quicktime installed, not the free version, the full version.

or u can get Windows Media Encoder to do it, it will produce Higher Quality and two extract copies for faster uploading.

Or use camtasia studio which ave a HD formatting which will improve ur quality by LOADS! mail me for more info.

When the file cannot be converted or too small size, it means the file is in the wrong format...

Ensure the file format is correct before uploading to youtube...

Using windows movie maker -- you have to save it into the proper file format, that is "wmv" file (use the "save movie file" on the menu at the top left) before upload..

The WMV file will be smaller in size but still quite good quality.. so uploading it will be faster.

also some movie maker version requires to be published instead of save... for that, press "ctrl-p" to publish or search&select a publish option from the menu at the top of the program window.

--for best editing....

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv file format... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

YOU DON'T NEED ANY DOWNLOADER OR CONVERTER. SOME ANSWERERS

ON YAHOO ARE ACTUALLY DISGUISED SALESPEOPLE TRYING TO "SUCKER"

YOU INTO BUYING THEIR BOGUS AND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY PROGRAMS.

If you’re using Windows Movie Maker, there

is the possibility that you mistakenly saved

your vid as a "MSWMM" with "Save Project".

You should really save your video as a "AVI"

or "WMV" using "Save Movie File" (Win XP)

or "Publish Movie" (Vista).

There is a ton of difference between the first

example and the other 2. MSWMM is not a

true video, but really a "work-in-progress". If

you'd like to upload a video to YouTube that

won't give you the dreaded "Failed" or "error"

message, simply do one of the 2 alternative

methods above, or consider the following as

the ideal way to save and upload your video:

1 -- click the blue "Tasks" icon.....(you'll get the "Movie Tasks" menu)

2 -- click "Finish Movie", the 3rd option.....(it will expand to 5 choices)

3 -- click "Save to my Computer"....(the "Save Movie" wizard appears)

4 -- enter the name of your movie....(it is best to save in "My Videos")

5 -- click "Next" at the bottom.....(you'll see the "Movie Setting" page)

6a -- for regular video, click "Best quality for playback".....(the default)

6b -- for 16:9, click "Show more choices", then tweak it until 640x360

7 -- click "Next" at the bottom.....(the saving might take quite a while)

8 -- click "Finish" at the bottom.....(your video is saved the good way)

YouTube recommends your video format be

MPEG-4 at 480x360 recorded together with

sound in MP3 audio, all at a rate more than

24 frames per second. For 16:9 widescreen,

the dimensions of YouTube's "Flash" player

are exactly 640x360. Other file formats that

are readily accepted by YouTube are: MOV,

MPG, AVI, and WMV -- which is the format

for Windows Movie Maker.
