I uploaded a video ages ago to YouTube, which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX8itoci6pE. As you can see, in low quality mode, the qualitys alright. I edited it on Windows Movie Maker. I saved it as 'best quality for playback on your computer', and then uploaded it.
Now, recently, I've made another video on youtube, which you can find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pSrGCquSgw. I made this video with movie maker, then saved it as 'best video for playback on your computer', then uploaded it on private, and the quality was crap!
I then saved the video as all of the output video quality options on Movie Maker, and uploaded them all onto youtube on private. No matter what I did, the video was always worse quality than the video I uploaded ages ago.
Eventually I gave in and put the video from 'video for local playback 2.1mbps' on youtube on public. What I want to know is: WHY CAN'T I UPLOAD MYNEWVIDEO IN THE QUALITY OF THE OLD ONE? IF I CAN, HOW?

If u want to get high quality video for youtube,

U can save the video as AVI on Windows Movie Maker.

Then convert to high quality flv video with E.M. Youtube Video Download Tool.

At last, upload the flv video to youtube.

How to save video as avi or wmv for uploading to youtube on Windows movie maker?

no matter how good the quality is .. if you uploaded it on youtube it will be converted into flv format which has a lower quality than the original .. You can't get same quality ...

if youtube changes the specs for lower quality in converting this video there is nothing you can do.

Ah, windows movie maker is low quality on windows XP.

Try updating to vista.

If you cant, select the biggest resolution option

hope that helps.
