I looked it up but it seems YouTube has changed they way you upload videos again... Is there a way I can upload a personal video thumbnail on my youtube videos without monetizing, or becoming a "special member" of youtube? Thanks!!!

If YouTube will let you upload your own thumbnail, you will see the Custom Thumbnail option when you upload your video, or when you go to the Video Manager and go to edit your metadata. If you don't see the Custom Thumbnail option, you are stuck with the three choices YouTube generated.

YouTube is constantly changing, so anything could happen next month.

Put your video on movie maker and put whatever image you want as the thumbnail at the end for 33% of the video's length. When you upload the video, go to enhancements, and there will be 3 thumbnail options. Choose the thumbnail that shows the image you put on the video for the thumbnail. Then use youtubes trim video feature and crop out the part of the video with the thumbnail to leave just the video.

I'm sorry, that's as simple as I can make it.

click name (top right) > video manager > click edit (on a vid) > custom thumbnail
